About Wear Tech Foundry

Wear Tech Foundry is a privately owned enterprise formed in 1991 when CRD Foundry was acquired by a member of the Perrin Family.

The Perrin family patriarch opened a blacksmith opposite the Rocklea Hotel in Brisbane, later moving into steel fabrication and property development. This business experience complemented a move into the metal casting industry and Wear Tech rapidly expanded.

In December 1992 Wear Tech was moved to its current expansive site of operations in Coopers Plains, Brisbane.

Today, Wear Tech manufactures its quality products for mining, power generation, defence, engineering and commercial customers, and enjoys a highly distinguished reputation in the metal casting industry. Wear Tech is constantly expanding, refining, and innovating its products to maintain its position.
